Why did create this hardware device?
We set out to create a simple piece of hardware that would allow us to easily work with contactless payments. We looked at existing tools and found that none of them were designed for this purpose in mind. Some did work with cards but were not designed with this purpose. We also came to the conclusion that for the community, whilst it would be possible to put together this hardware, it was also tedious and difficult for researchers and testers. So we would like to introduce you to the Payment Village Badge. A tool developed over several years, designed specifically to work with contactless payments. This alongside our PoS simulator, allows for full emulation of payment transactions. It works with all major cards, including the Payment Village Card.
What is the Payment Village Badge?
This device allows for the interception, modification and logging of data between contactless payment cards or mobile wallets and payment devices, such as ATMs, pos terminals, and Android or Apple phones.
The badge is available for order and can be shipped for $170
We are running a few workshops on "How to Assemble your Payment Village Badge", and we also have an extensive manual of how to assemble, set up, run and troubleshoot your badge.
