Payment Village Mission

Payment technologies power the modern world, yet understanding their security risks remains a challenge. Payment Village was founded by cybersecurity professionals to educate, train, and build awareness around the security of payment systems, PoS terminals, chip cards, and digital transactions.

We are dedicated to:

Training the next generation of payment security experts.

Providing hands-on learning experiences at industry events.

Driving security research in payment technologies.

Fostering an open community of researchers and professionals.


How do we do this?

We believe knowledge should be accessible, not hidden or obscured. We believe in learning through practice. We think this fosters a curious and determined mindset, required for working with payment technologies. We provide opportunities for learning for all ages, physicality and learning styles.

Volunteering 

We are looking for volunteers for DEF CON 33! The Payment Village is run by a team of volunteers who are passionate about Payments and providing learning opportunities for others. If you would like to be a part of our team, please head over to the volunteer page, our call for volunteers is live!
